What to look for when choosing a moving company:
- Personal culture and professionalism during phone contact.
- Quick quotation – unreliable companies often delay pricing because they cannot calculate it properly and sometimes forward your enquiry to other companies and present an averaged “offer” as their own.
- Cleanliness of the van – some dishonest companies offer lower rates but waste your time upon arrival by cleaning the vehicle. Blankets and securing ropes are scattered on the floor, and the van is messy. The van should be clean and ready to work – that’s what you are paying for.
- Website and photo gallery – the gallery clearly shows who you are dealing with.
Wrapping furniture, fridges, washing machines or dryers with stretch film does not protect your property from damage!
Stretch film may only be used to prevent doors or drawers from opening during transport. Such items should always be additionally protected with moving blankets or specialist covers and secured to the van wall with ropes.
